A beautiful period instrument in playing condition; the case in finely figured mahogany with rich ormolu mounts; the case supported by four circular columns to a lower curved stretcher from which the lyre shaped pedal board is attached; the keyboard area is veneered in amboyna and elm; the action and strings were refurbished in 1995;
